MediaPlayerLite is a very small application supporting the playback of a very wide range of media formats. Its easy-to-use interface is very similar to those of other converters, particularly Media Player Classic, and it is characterized by its simplicity.
The application supports not only standard media files you store on your hard disks but also other sources. Thus, you can use it to play DVD contents from either folders or discs. In addition, it supports connecting to various devices. You are also allowed to add all files from a folder to the playlist.
This player also supports external subtitle files. Moreover, it can start subtitle searches on an online database and even upload or download subtitles. It allows using shaders and filters to modify both audio and video outputs.
In my opinion, MediaPlayerLite does not have anything special compared with other software of the same type. Its visual similarity with them makes its interface boring for the user expecting something new. However, it has the advantage of being very light, but maybe because of that it depends on the codecs installed on your system; therefore, error messages are possible when a given codec is outdated or unavailable.
